Do any of you have knowledge of the RWS m94? I'd like to know about any diy mods that can be made to this gun. I'd also like to get a clear idea of how to adjust, or replace, the trigger. It's in .177 and shoots Beeman Koidiak Match and H&N Finale Match 8.3 gr. (it's an old tin of pellets that I've had for years) into an inch at 25 yds. from a rifle rest.
I monkeyed with the trigger screws and got the second stage to be pretty danged light. The problem is that before I cock it, I have to flick the trigger, otherwise the sear doesn't engage. This doesn't seem right, but the release is wonderful. Any ideas?
Thanks |

What type of trigger does it have? It should be stamped up near the end of the tube (barrel side), on the top.
My guess is a TO1. No idea why it wouldn't function properly, but google the TO1 unit for some schematics. But to take it apart you would need a spring compressor, unless you like going to the hospital. |

It's not a German made Diana with an RWS batch on it. I'm still looking for the specific model but it seems to be some Spanish airgun, namely the Cometa 400. |

Hi guys,
Fritz, there's a number on the right side of the barrel at the breech. It's 2826-01. Is that what you're asking for? If it's got a T01 trigger and I need a spring compressor, where do I get the correct compressor, and how do I use it? I'm reasonably mechanical, but not very intuitive, so I need pictures, or accurate instructions before I attempt something I'm unfamiliar with.
Broommaster, the rifle is marked Made in Spain and I agree that it looks a lot like a Cometa Fenix 400. I sent Cometa an email asking for info and they replied this morning that they don't know this gun. Are you aware of any other Spanish airgun makers who might have made guns for RWS? I also sent an email to UmarexUSA and asked them for date of manufacture info and an owner's manual. I've been searching for a clear schematic of the T01 trigger, but haven't found one yet.
Thanks to both of you for your help and your interest. If you turn up anything at all, I'll be grateful. Having to flick the trigger so the sear engages is annoying, but I'm going to the ranch tomorrow to train squirrels anyway. By training squirrels, I mean training them to "play dead." |

Hey Pelon,
It won't have a TO1 trigger, because it's not a Diana, and it's also not a Diana clone which may have a comparable trigger.
There are several Diana manuals available online. The T01 trigger is on most Diana models and you'll find that none of them will compare to your trigger. If they do, then I'm completely wrong.
Take a look at this pic and see if any parts seem the same, especially piston and triggergroup.
Here's another pic of the piston of the RWS 94:
A disassembled RWS 94:
This is a Diana piston. Most, if not all, of the guns build by Diana have this type of piston, and a T01 trigger assembly only found on Diana and chinese Diana clones (chinese ones are full metal whereas the Diana models sport a fancy synthetic triggerblade):
Other things to keep these rifles apart are things like the location and assemblage of the safety. If you are going to tune the trigger, you're gonna take it apart. So maybe you can take some pics and then we can see if your trigger is styled after something, or maybe we can give you some tips to where to start if you happen to be the first one to encounter this particular trigger.
I do think they're the same rifle, or maybe clones, but that seems kinda odd given the similarities between the triggers. |

Hi Broommaster. Here's a link I found at PyramydAir for a Model 94 schematic. I don't have time right now to get into it, but this schematic looks very similar, but ever so slightly different, to the one you sent. Maybe you can tell if the differences matter.
www.pyramydair.com/schematics/rwsmodel94_content.asp
What I can tell you is the rifle is marked RWS mod. 94 and Made in Spain.
Thanks |

Same rifle.
They didn't even bother to make a different picture, they just changed the numbers and rearranged it a bit. It's essentially the same drawing. |
