I had this 1322 come to me through a member of my family who wanted the gun repaired, it had been stored in a garage for 7-8yrs and not cared for properly or at at all for that matter...
Getting everything out on my makeshift workbench
I took the apart the gun and cleaned everything, the valve was filled with what looked like engine oil and the cup seal was so worn there was absolutely no resistance on the pumping stroke, even if there was the valve O'ring was toast as well, interesting shape on that one...
This shows the old O'ring (left) beside the new one that was used with the FTP kit...
adjustable piston from FTP kit...
At the request of the owner (and also advising to do so) I changed the breech to a 3rd variant, bolt action style, plastic breech, the flow through Crosman bolt was not sealing off at all, and the breech/barrel were very insecure. I also changed most of the bolts to the cheapy SHCS...
Done..I also changed the grips as the owner had gotten a little "rammy" when tightening the grips, and crushed the inside of them, which is why they are offset in this picture
A new tube/barrel were considered, but the owner agreed that the brown sort of colour (rust) looks pretty cool 8) The gun really has some smack too, the owner will be using it for close range hunting/pesting of birds/rabbits while deer hunting...

| Great post - thanks for the information. I often use the same kind of workbench. I also use a fishing tackle tray, but be sure to keep the lid closed. A lot of my parts must be made in Australia, because even with the organizer they tend to go on "walkabout." |
