If anyone owns a .25 cal Marauder- how does it compare to the .22 and .177 versions? i.e. shot cycle smoothness, overall hitting power, etc.?

Any info would be appreciated!

HTHs'. He buys everything from mac-1.
One thing. Tim's partner told me that the 2nd gen are coming back
with a lot of accuracy/barrel issues.
the 1st gen was better made. so I was told..

He's a funny guy:

"I haven't done anything to this gun out of the box except put it in Michael Chavka's masterpiece of a stock, moved the shroud forward, added a spacer at the back and two more baffles, reshaped the bolt probe a bit, did the trigger mod and adjustments, cleaned the bore, verified the tightness of all the bolts and screws, put a Hawke 4.5-14 tactical on it..."

'haven't done anything except...' then 10 mods- what else was he proposing to do for mods beyond that- all he missed was re-crowning the barrel and teaching it to talk!

In any event- it sounds good, even if a couple things might need to be tweaked.

Just yesterday I got to use a friends .25 M-rod for a squirrel hunt. It's the only caliber 'rodder I've had my hands on but at 20 yards the shot groups are barely bigger than a pellet with the Benny pellets. Sure puts the hurt on small game. I was actually so thrilled with it and it's performance that it's become the one reason tax time seems so far off

Yea I own one have had it since december 6th. I love the gun! No real issues with it. I can hit at 70 yrds free hand and I can stack em in a half a dime at 18yrds off a bench! I did not touch a thing. I shoot the benjamin .25 domed pellets. Drops bunnies like no tomorrow and squirrels too! I hunt with it alot. The only thing to watch is the bolt!!!! You can feed 2 pellets easy if you bump it and then push it back in, That is one thing I would like to put a end too. Doesnt happen much to me but once is too many! I did open up the air port a week or so ago seems like a got more zip and still shoots accurately. Not sure if it was good or not. My port was factory set at 3 turns out I set it at 4.5 turns out. Need a chrony now to wee what I messed up :0 anyhow its been a good gun for me. It took rabbits and 3 squirrels so far :D Oh yea I get 24 plus good shots with it. Hitting at 70 yrds.

Sounds good!

So far I haven't heard alot of complaints on the Marauder, and really none of any consequence on the .25 cal version.

But, there was some mention somewhere (can't remember where, sorry) of the slightly newer-built Marauders having some issue the original versions did not- i.e. a factory parts change and then some sort of problem. Anyone know/hear anything about this?

my .25 is stone stock standard and will nearly penetrate a tempered aluminum skillet from 50 yards.

i maxed all the settings and leave them there.

max shots after 2800 psi fill...25

accuracy...tack driver with JSB match jumbo at 50 yards.

fpe? i dunno...enuff to do what i want to with it.
