So, I spotted a yote trekking threw the snow in my backyard ( within 35 ft.) I loaded the home refurbished Np xl, and snuck out the front. By time I had hin in my sights he was creapin' on the neighbors property. I had him dead to rights, right between the ears at 45-50 ft. I settled in for my shot, began to squeeze the trigger and the snow packed down a bit right at the moment POW!!!
The pellet went THUMP with authority. It tag him in the ear. I'm pretty sure it punched a hole
Boy I'll be looking for a yote with a sore ear
AHhh! He was the biggest that I've seen in a long time |

I think luck was on his side, I really hope it did punch a hole. Kinda like tagging a critter, for science either way it tic's me off, and gives me more fire in the soul to get this varmint's skin.
These yokes are so braising, manly cause they are trash feeding, a few animals.
Thin of course we've got plenty of tree hugged's up here that want the dang things to be left alone???? So the ninja shooter must creep in the shadows
Oh well I bet that sore ear kept him up all night |

| Yotes are fun in my neck of the woods. my sister in laws house, which used to be my MIN and FIL lived there. My FIL and me would sit in the upstairs and shoot out the windows. I could nail them out to 350 yards out with my 30.06. It was always fun and I dearly miss that old man. My longest shot ever made was 430 yard shot measured with a leupold rangefinder. Ahh good days. |

I grew up in northern Cali. Wild packs of dog and coyote, made great entertainment for a lot of people
I remember stoping my truck on the side of the hi- way, cause I saw a pack going across the ridge of a foot hill. The good old 7 mm mag in hand. I put the cross hairs on leader of the pack. It was a big a$$ st. Bernard. I tried to put it in the head, the POI was middle of the neck.
All of a sudden I hear a woo hoo kinda thing. When I turned around the was a sheriff's deputy behind me! Dang there crapper my pants.
He did't care at all and told me it was a nice shot and a don't do it again with a smile
love hunting varmint
That was about 400yards |

Coyotes, Wild Dogs varmint? Over here wild stuff doesn't get bigger then a fox.
Allthough they're a protected species here (but don't ask chickenfarmers). |
