The electronic valving is not new- Daystate has been using it for a number of years.
I wonder what the proposed price-point of this rifle is supposed to be?
Also- I suspect that with its "baffled" barrel- Crosman may have opened the door to the BATF taking notice of airguns- suppressors have always been a bit of a "gray" area on airguns and have been essentially ignored by the BATF up to now. But, bring out a 150-300fpe projectile shooter and put a suppressor on it, and I think issues may be coming up. I guess we'll see. |

i think the technology is pretty cool but i dont love the looks. guess im a wood guy. the electronic screen on the side looks like something off a microwave. kinda cheesy looking. couldnt they make it a bit cooler looking and do the same thing? i guess its a price point thing. walt. |

It's just a matter of time until the ATF is all over this sport.
the power and stealth of the mrod still amazes me.
the redflag is that it shoots real "bullets". |

| Wow thats Ugly IMO. but the power is awesome. I think elctronic valves are great for competition and bench shooting, but I would prefer good old mechanical trigger for hunting. Although I'm sure the batteries could be made to last for years if the processor is effecient. Defiantely not my cup of tea though. |

According to Tom Gaylord the price is supposed to be very attractive. It's reported to be only slightly louder than a standard Marauder.....crazy.....
Awesome, but I think it may just draw some unwanted attention to the sport we all love.....
I hope this doesn't help pave the way for a modification of the definition of a firearm as was written in 1968.I don't think that would happen for quite a long time, but I feel it could really put our sport on the radar...
I can see it now....it looks like an assault gun, so only the people with evil intentions would need such a device...or the standard B.S. along those lines....You know stir the pot...promote fear of the "what if's"....
But then again look at all the other big bores out there...or for that matter all the black powder guns that produce WAY more power, yet no one is trying to restrict those. We can be sure Crosman did their homework here...so we'll see..
Her's the gun being shot.....and it's damn quiet....

I guess the guy updating pricing is gonna get written up
for that. $800 is more believable. |
