where can i get a muzzle break (i think it's called) for a 2240? can some one list some options like different designs? what other things can i add ?i have got a wood stock. and am going to paint some of it silver, how do you get the barrel off to do this?

There are alot of people around who also make muzzle brakes (some tuners, gunsmiths, etc.) and many people have made their own as well. Look at Alstone's projects on silencers- same idea, but easier to do a muzzle brake.

Now, with all these resources- maybe someone else can direct you on the specific 2240 teardown and what to be careful of to avoid damaging anything.

ive done so many i could do it in my sleep

1)remove front sight (usually a light twist will get it)
2)remove barrel band (two grub screws)
3)remove grip frame (two screws one at the back and one at the front IMPORTANT KEEP GRIP FRAME VERTICAL AND KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A TINY SPRING AND BALL BERRING PLACE GRIP FRAME IN A BAG SO YOU DONT LOOSE THE SAFTEY PARTS)
4) open the bolt and remove the small allen head screw (good time to cut a slot in the head to use a flat screwdriver in the future
5) remove rear breech screw at the rear of breech
6) pull breech and barrel up and away
7) pull barrel out of breech

can you aim with a muzzle break?

you can point with one, install a steel breech and pistol scope or red dot and problem solved

Take advantage of our Dollar while you can,,It's beyond me, why someone would spend more than $50.00 CDN on a Canadian made brake, that's unimaginative in design, and then pay extra on top for shipping.
I've also had some brake's made by "Rich from Mich" http://home.comcast.net/~peterdragin/index.html/My_Homepage_Files/Page1.html , his brake's are quite nice too, and run around $27.00 USD + shipping, and his shroud work is second to none, I'm waiting on a beautiful shroud for my 2289,, Two Thumb's Up for the "AirGun Artisan's".
