This is my first break barrel rifle.

The trigger is not bad at all, very smooth and then has some resistance, similar to my Gamo P-23 CO2 pistol (well the Gamo is worst). Its a little harsch, just takes a while to get use to and the nasty kick of the spring itself when the rifle goes off (which I dig).

I hate the annoying sticker difficult to remove.

The rear sight had no adjustments, ended using two rubber O-rings by placing them underneath the clip, LOL. Took a while to get it set as I could not resist not hitting soda cans from 60 feet away. Some tinkering with different O-rings and was the whole afternoon plinking. The front sight was given to me in a zip-loc bag, a few drops of Krazy glue for now to hold it in place. Later when I modify it will install an extension on the barrel.

For some reason the only pellets that fit are Crosman round and Supersonic, and Daisy pointed pellets. The Crosman Premier are way too big.

Its going to be my project rifle for now to keep me busy during the winter time. Love the recoil, sound and power for $25.00 dollars. Very accurate at 40 feet away for my first day. Everytime a pellet comes out has this horrible smell coming out of the barrel and when the barrel is opened right on the compression chamber. Those chinese really did not mess around applying pounds of oil and grease everywhere.

The previous owner had it abandoned, in fact I think he never shot it at all.

I would appreciate how I can remove the rust from the metal surfaces? Maybe the only option is to sand/paint the rifle... but not sure if there are other alternatives. I see many users giving tips on how to get a nice finish on the stock, but is difficult to find about the metal itself.

That's a great looking gun, thanks for sharing the pictures.

Strip the wood and finish with a simple paste wax or similar. It'll probably turn into a show piece.

With the metal, you could "sand" it with fine steel wool. Then cold blue it with one of the chemical bluing kits available out there. I did this with an old rusty Marlin .22 and it looked like brand new.

But be sure to coat your final blued metal with Johnson's Paste Wax, let it sit for a bit and then rub it off or your surface will rust up fast over a short time.

I tried using oil as my final finish to the cold bluing on the .22 and it would spot rust pretty quick and show finger print rust marks.

It all started when I bought my kid a Daisy 105.

Now I have a Walther CP99 compact, a Gamo P-23, a Powerline 35 which my wife likes to shoot, and this chinese ghetto rifle that for some reason I love shooting.

Now that the tax return is around the corner, very tempted with the Benjamin 392, maybe a Norica, Beeman Mach 12.5, some of the Tech Force etc. Also, the Diana RWS 54 is a beauty...

I recently found my chinese air rifle. I though it was stolen by my nephew, but it is still at my deceased mother in law's house. I just have to go get it back. It is an underlever and 22 cal. My pellets fit pretty good in it. To be honest, I haven't shot it in so long I don't remember the last time I did shoot it.

Zillions of people have B3's, but you don't hear so much about B1's. Keep up posted on your progress.

http://www.kermitairgunclub.com/projects/b3guide/B-3%20guide.html

I found this link, its for the B3-3 (not B1-1, many similarities), but seems very useful if at some point decide on tinkering with it. For now not bad at all, will buy today a Tasco 3-9x50 to try it out at Wal-Mart as the rifle sights are working with a ghetto fix.

Like stated on the previous postings, the front sight was glued with a few drops of Krazy glue and the rear sight under the plate with rubber o-rings. So far with its crazy recoil have managed to hit Coca-Cola cans from 100 feet. I think that once I get a good scope and later decide to tune it a little can make it much better.

One thing I was not sure, the lady at Wal-Mart asked me if I wanted high or low mounts for the scope, I was totally clueless. Then she would tell me some of the scopes are for rimfire rifles or for .22. Once again, did not what to say, Does anybody know what is the difference on all that terminology of rimfire, for .22 etc?

I would say high mounts, safe not sorry If you get low profile there will be a chance that you scope will be resting on rear sight

Ended purchasing a 3/8 to weaver rail, and low ring weaver mounts, and a sweet Bushnell 4x12-40 scope, all coming up via USPS on the next few dayz...

Dissapointed with mounts...

Have tried the 3/8 to weaver 3" mount, then using weaver scope rings, and still the rail is sliding back.

I even drilled through the mount, went to Home Depot and bought high grade bolts and nuts to secure it tightly. Dont matter how much it was tightened...

Its dark outside, been working on this the whole afternoon and still in the same place. It seems the air rifle is intended for no more than 30 to 40 yards.
