The ShoeBox HPA Compressor finally has its own website:

Orders are no longer being taken on the previous Airgun Forum.... There is an order list on the new site and an application to get on the waiting list on that page.... As of writing this, there are 65 people on the list.... and the next production run will be 500 units....
Two models are available, one for 3000 psi and one for 4500 psi and they can't do both as the pressure is factory preset and the appropriate burst discs fitted.... It takes 4 hours to fill a 68 ci tank to 4500 psi.... and 24 hours to fill an 80 cu.ft. SCUBA tank to 3000 psi.... The current price listed on the website is $399 US plus shipping....

That is cheap, $399.00 !
I put myself on the list- it may take a full 24 hours to fill an 88CF scuba tank- but compared to $3k for a regular HP multi-stage compressor it seems hard to go wrong.
Heck, even if it takes them 2 months to produce- it will probably be 10 times faster than at least one other person who has claimed they will make a similar device... |

Very nice design and for the average air gunner time is not a problem, I think the running costs will be a bit higher than stated as you have to run another compressor in tandem for 24 hours.
I do tend to agree with Kanyon about the robustness of the build, but for $400.00 what the hell you can’t go wrong.

I don't know why someone dose make booster units
to convert 120psi in to 3000psi...
the one in the pic turns 100psi into 1,600psi..
add a twin solanod 5 port valve , a couple of magnetic
piston sensors & it will cycle..

I don't dought that..but they could be built & sold for about the
as the shoebox ...
I built a hyd version for a small press so the guy could put
it on for 1 job he done ... He didn't want to have to buy and run a bigger power pack all the time.... |
