Hi all.
I was at Walmart the other day and noticed they were stocking what I would have called a Crosman 1377C American Classic.
But...
It was labeled (even the stamping on the gun itself) "Pumpmaster Classic" and the packaging gave it the number PC77.
Perhaps this is just Walmarts way of flexing their enormous muscles, having manufacturers change model names and numbers just for them.
Have any of you seen this or know anything about it? |

Slavia, good to hear from you as well.
I appreciate the link. It's what I was looking for.
I wonder then if Crosman is replacing the 1377 model with this PC77, of if this is Walmart exclusive.
Heh, more plastic. Figures. And it sounds like the removed the needed plastic barrel spacer if you plan on using the barrel clamp scope holder (459MT), which I do use with my red dot site.
EDIT:
I guess if all else fails, I should check with the mothership...

The changes haven't reached the manuals or parts diagrams yet.
I guess the jury is still out on the changes, but the third side-plate screw isn't a bad idea. My 2240 has had one for almost 10 years:

Hey there C-140! We don't have Walmart over here so we'll be having the 22xx or whatever the name is for a long time to come, as they're pretty much stacked by the hundreds here.
Nobody buys them. |

Hey Broom!
Lucky for you that you don't have walmart. It may be the demise of the United States as we know it. |

10,000 years from now they'll unearth the remains of a superstore and wonder why we worshiped the malevolent sun-god Lowestpriceunkamen.
