Anyone have any experience with this gun? I've narrowed my search down and have decided to go with a quality/entry level gun that (hopefully) I'll be able to pass down to my kids in a decade's time, hence my decision to go with RWS. I also like the fact that RWS stands behind their product with the lifetime warranty.
From what I've read, seems like this model is a little more reliable than the standard 34 and I like the compact design (my wife will too since she's pretty small @ 5'2")
I figure it's a great starting point and that I can always move up to the 350 in a few years if I end up doing a lot of shooting. |

Not sure where you got the idea it's more reliable because it's kind of the same rifle. except for the barrel. The compact is less front heavy, but still...
It's a very good rifle, it's actually one that we recommend the most here.  |

Then I wonder how a barrel can make a difference on a spring powered airgun.
I wonder if the ProCompact is more expensive then the 34 classic. |

Get it.
If I remember correctly, in theory a shorter barrel on a springer (to an extent) helps to shorten the time in barrel so there is less hold sensitivity.
Either way, the 34 is an excellent rifle. I love mine. |
