Just back from visiting Yellowstone. We checked out the Western Heritage Museum in Cody, Wyoming - simply excellent. It's actually five museums - native peoples, western art, Buffalo Bill western stuff, natural history, and guns. If you ever get out that way I would highly recommend it.

The art wing has all the usual Remington, Russel, Wyeth, and Bierstadt stuff, but here's their take on modern art:

They have two or three guns in their collection:

But since this, after all, an airgun forum:

If you get out there, the Wyoming Steak and Chop restaurant in Cody has the best looking wait staff I've ever seen. Too young for me, but you would enjoy the, er, ambience.

Cody isn't that big - I probably could have asked at a gas station and they would have known him. A nice town in a nice state.

Thanks for sharing. Really interesting specimens.
I wonder what some of those would cost if produced today? Lots of $$$$ !

I think you may have missed one of the real treasures there.I have been there a few times.Stopped into a shop there,I think called Bills.Met a very nice older gent, one of the last Colt engravers left in the US.He invited me in,showed me around, and I seen some of the most beautiful guns ever.
