Heh heh, we order FAC versions here, because they 7.5 J is the maximum allowed for most field target matches. You could come here and order an airgun from the UK, then you'll have a FAC-version for sure... or something. I don't think that solves the problem.
I also think that you will have a very hard time buying an airgun here, because there aren't a lot of shops due to the tremendous amounts of rules that we have here. I mean, I got both of my guns second handed, and they were a bit of luck. 40 euro's for a very nice Slavia 630 is no money at all. That was luck. Airmagnums go around for about 200 second handed. I do see a lot of tuned Weihrauchs, some specially with a 7.5 J spring in it (reffering to the 12 FP)
That would be considered smuggling though, if you take it back with you along with booze. I think you'll be better of buying one in Belgium, and they seem to have the 7.5 joule rule too. Not sure about that though.
My guess, and personal favorite is to try and hunt down a bargain. In the end, it's always a bit of a gamble though... That's why you are better of looking in the UK. Be sure to try and track bargains down in a bit remote places, since they mostly don't know enough about airguns and airgun prices. That's how I got the Slavia. Just a bit of a country-fella who wanted to go more heavy. I think he's got himself a Gamo now.
I could sell you my Slavia :P I'd send it in parts or something. I think that WILL become quite expensive.
Ps: Belgium has better beer too. |

do you have an extension cord and a heating pad? i used my 850 airmagnum right into the night using by using a heating pad and a 500 watt quartz lamp.i just lay it down on it between shots which were very consistant and accurate.the lamp is used to see of course.it doesn`t matter how far you are away from the outlet for the pad because it is just a resistive device.check it out |

I don't have a bad shot consistency. I can do 170 shots from a CO2 capsule, and only the last 20 or so are bad.
Edit: And I realise this is off-topic. |

Hi boeing
Good idea a heated pad, do you mean somthing like a plate warmer?, I do use the wifes hair dryer when it's very cold but its not very consistant, at one time I bought a pair of second world war tank drivers gloves heated with a 24v power supply, kept your hands warm but you couldn't feel the trigger, so I cut the finger end off and they never worked again.
Anyway I'll have a look at a heated pad and see what I can sort out,I would prefer to continue to use my Co2 guns in th winter.

*Hypnotizing* Noooo, you must buy a springer. Must have one! Springers are good for you and your overall technique. Buy a springer Alstone, or you will suffer tremendous pain and stuff.
I've heard plenty of times about guys who build a heater into their Airmagnum. It seemst that with a series of batteries it could be done. |

like one of those ones you get from the drug store to soothe your back or whatever.get one with a rheostat so you can adjust to ambient.just lay it out flat and lay your gun on it.
and no thanks to the extra weight broomaster. batteries would be okay if it "had"to be portable! |

Last winter I took the heat pump (It's a peltier effect heat pump which if you reverse the connections heats up) out of a electric cool box, it only measures 1, 3/8" x 1, 3/8" x 1/4" and taped it to the side of my CP88, a piece of wire and a box for the batteries, the problem is that at low power it takes about 1 amp at 24v to work, and the batteries don't last long, also you needed thermostat to to stablise it. End result it wasn't worth the effort.

Since you guys bring up TX200, I wonder if it might be too heavy for any field shooting because the spec says it weights 9.3lb. Thanks.

Hi Alan
Yes the TX200 is a bit heavy but looks nice also the same with a HW97K which I also like, as for the Webley Exocet I've gone of that a bit.
As for the field shooting I only do that now and again, mostly it's target or plinking, plus I would never be happy with a gun that I didn't like the look of.
After saying that I have to admit when I see somthing I like my brain shuts down and I hand over the money, so I might finish up with a another Co2 rifle.
