Not yet!! But two were shot in Lincoln which is just up the road and where I go for FT shooting.
So maybe the targets will change, could be fun or dangerous.

| I don't think I would have the guts to face one of those with just a baseball bat unless I had no choice. If for no other reason than disease's it may carry. |

Gambian pouched rat. Imported from Africa and running loose in the US. They were released into the wild by a pet shop owner who 'loved animals' and didn't want to see them destroyed when the Feds banned them for US sale and required pet shop owners to turn them in. Thanks a lot I say to them. These rats grow way bigger (like 3 or 4 times bigger) that the Norweigan gray rat that we already have all over North America (also not indigenous, but they've been here a few hundred years, way before people understood about this sort of problem). These things are spreading up the east coas and will be a problem in a much wider area, just give them time.
Google it up. There's tons of info on these critters. |

I'm pretty sure that what is pictured by the OP is not a Gambian pouched rat. I researched the Gambian pouched rat and it is not even close to the size of that thing in fact the closest I have been able to find is a newly (2007) discovered Giant rat discovered in Indonesia jungle.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22290101/?GT1=10645
That url has a short video on the Giant rat and below is a picture of the video.
