i read somewhere that if you didn't want to drill and tap and die the 853 trigger mod that you could "buy" the 853 trigger mod already made..is that true? if so, where is it on the web? I have the plans for doing the work myself...but, I'm not confident in my ability to tap and die a new rifle. thanks guys!

i did that...and I've seen those instructions...one of reviews on an air rifle site said if you were "afraid" to do this work yourself that there was this modification already completed and all you had to do was install it...that's what I'm possibly looking forward an already completed 853 trigger mod...

I have never seen a "drop-in" mod for the 853/953 trigger. That doesn't mean they're not out there, just that I haven't run across them.

Be careful with the "drill-and-tap" trigger mod. It works by advancing the sear nearer the point of release. If you adjust it too close it could go off by bumping the gun. Also, if the gun is to be used in any kind of organized competition, be sure that the trigger mods are allowed within the rules.

i did mine with no problems.

HOWEVER...make sure to have a good secure vise to hold everthing in the proper angles while drilling and tapping.

it does enhance the triggers performance, too.

it's a worthwhile mod (and probably the only modification available for this rifle. at least that's all i'm able to find.)
