Just like on my first one, this one has a barrel that wobbles just a bit so scoping wouldn't be an option just yet. I put some tape under the barrel band and it helped a little but it still has some play. What is the best way to fix this?

Find a way of attaching the scope to the barrel tube itself, not the breech- this way the barrel tube can wiggle all it likes- the scope will travel with it.

Funny you should mention that because that idea crossed my mind a few times. I'm really just wanting to eliminate the problem all together although it could come down to that

It gets tough- about the best you could do is tie the tubes together with custom-made bands/brackets- but then the plastic receiver will still be an issue I think.

Ah, o well. It will probably just be an open sight gun anyway. I actually decided to partially open it up to see if there was anything to secure the shroud to just out of curiosity, and just like the first one, parts flew everywhere. And the worst part is that these have no logical or reasonable way to reassemble them! I shouldn't have scrapped my first one but after an unsuccessful hour and a half of trying and retrying I'm almost tempted to just buy another one
