Well, I do hear the Aussies have a lot of mice problems!
Maybe this will be the new "safari" for the 21st century. Airgunners go down to the Australian desert to shoot rodents taking over farmland and take pictures holding mice by the tail next to a teeny-weeny little scale. |

It's OK for you people that can just walk into your hardware store and buy an airgun. Down here you need to apply for permission to do a test ($60.00) to get a license ($120.00/5 years) to use a firearm. Then, if you want to possess a firearm (and the definition of a firearm is almost anything that uses some form of mechanical process to propell a pellet of any description, including some slingshots) you need to make another aplication (at a cost of $30.00) for a Permit to acquire (a firearm). On the aplication, and on your license as well, you need to state your "good reason to posess a firearm". Then, if you have ticked the right boxes, you will get your permit to acquire in about 6 weeks with a minimum statutory waiting time of 28 days.
After you get your new air rifle it needs to be kept in a secure place (4 gun capacity safe, about $300.00) and when you want to buy one of those $5.00 tins of Gamo pellets the bloke behind the counter has to view and record your shooter's license details.
The bloke behind the counter? He's even worse off! Employees need a special clearance from the Police Firearms Registry and if you want to handle re-loading powder you need another license from another Govt. Department as well as a "Proberty Check" from the Police. The price of all this? About $100 per year in NSW.
Oh, yeah. After your firearms license expires in 5 years you have to do the whole thing all over again and God cannot help you if you are a day late. All your firearms can and will be confiscated by the Police and returned when your license has been issued.
It shure is fun down here in OZ. |

Holy bureaucratic crap! We thought people in Canada had it bad- but you guys are even worse off.
I had never thought the cultures of Australia and New Zealand were all that different- but obviously in respect to airguns they are worlds apart. Learn something new everyday... |

| In New Zealand no licence required for air guns no power restrictions and allowed sound moderators. As for white pellets to light for my gun. The bsa wolverines i use are made in czech republic and are brillant. |

Hey there, "White" brand pellet's are made in Slovenia by Coal Ltd,. http://www.coal.si/index_en.php?stran=artikli&id=1001&j=2 , I actually got in contact with the manufacturer to see about purchasing pellet's, and was told ""250-WP Field 250 pcs/tins is 2,43 EURO = 6 @ 2,43 = 14,58 EURO
250-WP Pointed 250 pcs/ is price same 2,43 EURO = 6 @ 2,43 = 14,58 EURO
This is together 29,16 EURO. Shiping cost is 90USD is arround 70EUR. Together is amount 99,16EURO""
So, I said Thank You, but No Thank's, a little too expensive for me, it seem's they have nothing in the way of sale's on-line or other-wise, too bad, I wouldn't mind trying out some of their product's, spec-wise they seem to rank up there with the best Euro brand's, but I heard the same thing with "Apolo" pellet's from Argentina, and when I managed to get a couple tin's sent to me,,,They were Crap!,LOL, Andy. |

| I have a pile of "White Pellets" I got for testing. The vast majority of their different types are very consistent- but their two cheapest lines- the "WP Classic" .22 cal and the "WP Basic" .177 cal weren't as good- similar to Crosman bulk Wadcutters in consistency. The "white" bit isn't as interesting as it sounds- it is just a pale lead and their pellets are the same color as Gamo's. But, stay tuned- in the next few months they may be getting imported to Canada for North American distribution. |

A word of caution from my importer friend. Make certain that the shipment conforms with the sample supplied. It would not be the first time that there have, in the past, and often will be bee problems with quality of goods shipped sight unseen from overseas.
Rember that you will be paying for goods before they are dispatched from the factory. Mistakes and other things do happen and this is not a standard consumer transaction so consumer protection laws are not going to help you is things go wrong and you get crap instead of gold .
Take care and have a Merry Christmass.
Dennis. |

I will dig out a tin and post a pic so you

Hello kanyon:
I did have samples of every one of their units, tested them a bit and have most of them sitting in a box right now (a couple got send to someone for their experimentation).
In order to bring them in to North America- the only worthwhile way to have them shipped means having an entire skid/pallet sent- the cost of this coupled with the cost of the million or so pellets that would be on it make it a bit "cost prohibitive" to try and introduce a new product into a market already flooded with pellets from all corners of the world. So- I never did go ahead with that idea- but it's always interesting to see what people think of things for others that do not have easy access to them. |
