WORLD SURVEY BY PHONE

Last month a world-wide survey was conducted by the UN.
The only question asked was:

"Could you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a massive failure because of the following:

1. In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.

2. In Western Europe they didn't knowwhat "shortage" meant.

3. In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.

4. In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.

5. In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.

6. In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.

7. In the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

8. In Canada they hung up as soon as they heard the Indian accent.

Don't get me started on the UN.

Let's just say if I see blue helmets in my scope, it's open season.

The Canadian army doesn't wear blue helmets into battle (AFAIK)...

If 'yer wearing a blue helmet it doesn't matter where you're from. I don't discriminate. Rolling Eyes

May I respectfully suggest that you finish what you started in Afghanistan so our troops can come home in stead of dying trying to clean up your mess.... Faq-U

And it would do you good to check the statistics on what the percentage of UN troops are and have been Canadian over the years.... Evil or Very Mad

SORRY but I agree(with blue helmet's or beret's)IF it's on MY street's it become's a enemy of mine an a fair target!!! screw the U.N. an ALL that wear the U.N. hat.AN respectfully if your troop's in"afghanistan" are like the the one's I've encountered in several place's around the world,PLEASE TAKE THEM HOME,they are just in the WAY, an need to be protected BY MY troop's Faq-U

Just to be perfectly clear.... I have a lot of good friends who are Americans who appreciate and respect what Canada has done for our partnership in North America over the years.... Unfortunately, there are a few "ugly Americans" (I hate that term, but here it seems to apply).... who are opinionated and uninformed like the two that have posted above....

I don't support everything the UN has done either.... but to even suggest that the Canadians don't know what they are doing and should be shot on sight is WAYYYYYYYYYY over the top.... I could go on and on about NORAD, the DEW LINE, and protecting your NORTHERN FLANK during the cold war.... or the fact that WWI was actually 1914 to 1918 (not 1917-18) and WWII was 1939-1945 (not 1941-1945).... or that Canadian ships were protecting US Ports and shipping during most of 1940 and 1941....

I think it would be a terrific idea if Canada got out of Afghanistan and left you to clean up your own mess.... and the more Americans I see stating that the World is just getting in their way and they can run everything just fine, thank you.... the stronger that feeling becomes....

BTW.... my son enlisted in the Canadian Army the week after 9-11.... and served a tour in Afghanistan.... He happened to believe (mistakenly, according to those above).... that friends are worthy of support.... Oh!.... and my brother who retired a Colonel in the RCAF was 4th in command at Cheyenne Mountain for a tour in the 70's.... but then I guess they should have just stayed home.... Rolling Eyes

I sincerely hope that the majority of Americans do not share the feelings of those above.... If they do, I see little hope for this planet....

I'd have to answer CONTROL YOUR EGO there bud,some of what you said is true,BUT only a VERY little.Protect my north in cold war(did you forget WE have a nice little state above you ,an 9-11 Hmmm wonder what country's border they came across)an I didn't see a word about the WORLD in our way(1 to 500 or more troop ratio over there BUD).An PLEASE if your PROUD that you have more troop's in the U.N. than all other's ,then YES the world is in a sad state (can you say WORLD CONTROL,KNEW YOU COULD).An I too have several friend's from canada, worked with them in private security OVER there,an I now see why they ONE AN ALL applied to come HOME to the U.S.!!!PLEASE STAY A LIBERAL EGOTISTICAL ONE SIDED(YOUR'S) SNOB ,An I will continue too fight for true FREEDOM ! An UGLY ,yeah(heart & soul) I got my scar's an way's as a WARRIOR how about YOU.SEND the U.N. troop's(your's an mine)but REMEMBER we as a people do not have gun control (how's that working for you all),an when push come's to shove,WELL you get it RIGHT!!!!An thank's for history lesson,But I think we base it on when WE entered the war's O.K. with YOU?
