Hi Guys
Im new here, looks like a great site . I have had my pellet guns packed away for about the last ten years and want to use them again. There still in great shape and the moving parts on the pump appear to be a little dry. I was wondering is it safe to use Outers gun oil on them?
Also the one rifle has some rust on the barrel, is there a product that will remove it? it appears to be only surface rust.
any help would be great and again this place looks really cool. Even though I had my pellet guns for the last 10 years im very much a newbie
cheers
Jeremy
PS- Im sure I will have more newbie questions in the future, lol |

Welcome to the forum, Jeremy!
We know from another thread that you have a model 77 - what else have you got?
As far as rust, you could use a lubricating oil and rub it off if it's not too bad. Or, you could get some Birchwood Casey Blueing and rust remover or something like Navel Jelly to get it off. You will probably have to retouch the blueing if it's visible.
I would be more concerned about rust inside the barrel, in the bore. |
