Scope started to mess up after about 150 shots. Won't hold zero.
Back to WalMart or a new scope? |

| Haven't had a problem even with my "inexpensive" Crosman scope. Do you have a scope stop and is your (are your) mount (mounts) tight? Sorry if I'm asking something you already checked. |

| get some threadlock on your mount and ring screws, and clamp that sucker down tight. before going out to shoot a lot of rnds with my springer, i'll double check the bolts to make sure they're tight. i also like to sight in at 30yds rather than 10yds, since that's where most of my shots occur. and when you're zeroing, make sure your scope/gun dont move at all...simple answer, get a bench of zeroing scopes, or make one. |

Has scope stop.
Everything is tight. I keep a watch on them closely.
I think it may be the pellets I was using with the .177 barrel.
I switched to the .177 barrel from the .22 which was doing just fine. The .177 was all over the place and seemed to get worse the more shots I fired(not getting hot).
I took the scope off and used the sights and the .177 was still all over the place.
Put the .22 on and shot GREAT with the sights. Haven't put the scope back on but will re-try it with the .22.
Pellets used:
1) .177 Daisy Performance Max POINTED.(read a few bad reviews of them)
2) .22 Daisy Performance Max FLAT.
Going to get some Crosman pellets to recheck things. |

You might check your crown because if it is messed up it can cause your pellets to go all over the place. Just imagine if it has a small burr on it and the spinning pellet hits the burr on the way out of the barrel then the the pellet will not leave the gun straight or stable. |

| You might also check the barrel itself for a solid set and that it's not a little loose. |

Of course... the .177 pellets could just be crap? Also check out the .177 barrel for defects.
Put the scope and the .22 barrel, since the irons + .22 is winning.
If that works out, you know the scope isn't broken. Then (defective or not) try the .177 barrel with different pellets. By doing so, you may prove the .177 pellets you're using are just not suited for that particular barrel. Another (very likely) thing is the barrel is defective, this could be a simple burr/crown or the whole thing could be a POS. |

Sounds good to me. That's what I had in mind to do.
How does one check the crown? |

Look down the barrel of your gun the crown is the end of the barrel. It should be smooth and looking close you should be able to see the edges of lands and groves of the rifling and they should appear clean and well defined. If they show a jagged edge instead of a machined edge then you need to polish your crown. There are post about doing so but since I have not had to do it yet I will let others answer to that. Hope that helps. |
