Thank you, one and all, for your views and advice. I sent the Benjamin Marauder back to Pyramyd Airguns. They paid the postage. The Benjamin Marauder was my first PCP and it was a delight to hear nothing but the "ping" of whatever it is that does go "ping" after shooting a pellet in a Benjamin Marauder. It was just incredible to experience the smooth action and speedy reload of the Benjamin Marauder. The Benjamin Marauder was a little heavier than it should have been. I never got to experience the Benjamin Marauder's legendary accuracy as the Benjamin Marauder began leaking air. I was told by someone working for Pomona Airguns that the reason for my Benjamin Marauder leaking was due to the fact that it was not shipped with air in the reservoir. I am very sad and frustrated because Pyramyd Airguns did not tell me why the Benjamin Marauder leaked or where the leak was. I very much want one of these airguns. I am the one who is losing out! I wrote AirArms and Air Force and requested statstics regarding returned rifles due to leakage. AirArms gave me a very unsophisticated and juvenile answer and Air Force gave me an answer that evaded the point. Now I'm REALLY depressed!!! I guess these two manufacturers sell airguns that fall apart after a week and will give you a refund should you want one. But I guess their profit comes from the people who never bother to complain or get a refund and simply put down the leaking/broken rifle and forget they ever had it. How sad.

Most people that get a small leak, just fix it themselves. When it takes 3 weeks to send it back and get it fixed, or just spend 20 minutes and a strip of teflon tape...

AirArms has a very good track record. Not saying they haven't sold a gun that leaked, but it was probably just a failure to seal (things not screwed in right). This stuff can also happen during shipping, so it may not even be the manufacturer's fault.

Didn't we already go through this? Could've fixed the problem yourself in 2 minutes, and then given Crosman a piece of your mind- they probably would have done something to rectify the situation- but you didn't give them a chance.

Not having air in the reservoir is bullsh!t, and if it leaked, maybe it did have air in the reservoir originally.

Bet you are super-glad you didn't buy a Toyota the last few years.

Dead Horse

Here's an 'FYI'- most people around here get their hands dirty with their airguns- so going on and on about this isn't gaining anyone any traction.

i had a webley lite w8 .22 that leaked all the air out when i cocked it, and my mate had a FX T 12 .22 and that popped when he fired a shot off, it went that bad it blew his silencer off theend. but both rifles where replaced by the companys we brought them off so it was all good.
