Here is my question. I have a rws-34 in .22 sighted dead nuts at 30 feet at 4x fixed. Im elevating my shot 20 ft up and out to 35 yrds. In other words ill now be shooting down and out to my back fence from my bathroom window. DO I HOLD UNDER on my mildots or right on for the added distance? Thanks!

Without a velocity and pellet type this is impossible to answer accurately.... I assumed 800 fps and a BC of 0.020 and found that for a rifle sighted in at 10 yards the POI at 35 yards would be about 0.86" high.... The effect of a 20' change in height at that range is minimal.... its only about 11 degrees, which raises the POI an additional 0.1"....

If your velocity or BC is lower, so would be your POI.... and vice versa....

750-800 would be about right. the round is a Beeman Kodiack in .22 not sure the weight, heavy. I know this is basic shooting and I could just sight in at the exact spot.dont want change indoor setting.

If its the 21.1gr Kodiaks, I'd guess you are in the 550-600fps ballpark

Straight Shooters reported 660 fps with 21 gr. Kodiaks in an RWS-350....

Plugging in that, and a BC of 0.032 gives 0.2" low at 35 yards, and only 0.1" low with the height change taken into account.... basically dead on....

He is using an RWS 34 though...350 mag having roughly 25% more fps than a 34...475fps @ straight shooters w/kodiaks.

WHOOPS !!!.... I misread, I thought it was a 350.... Embarassed

The numbers for an RWS-34 sighted in at 10 yards (Kodiaks @ 475 fps, BC = 0.032) are:

At 35 yards: POI 3.86" low
At 35 yards and 11* angle: POI 3.68" low
