| I've noticed my RWS 350 is getting harder to initially break the barrel open. It used to be easy to put the butt in my upper thigh and grab the barrel to break it. Now I have to slap the barrel to open it. Is this normal? Should I be oiling something, or looking @ something for issues? I have about ~1000 rounds through it. |

| Try oiling the detent below the barrel (the pin/metal pivot which is spring loaded)- this is what controls the barrel movement/retention when closed- sounds like its gumming up. |

Huge improvement, thanks. That should've been obvious, but since I didn't see it on my official RWS maintenance list I didn't do it @ 1000 shots. I'm somewhat worried about doing more harm than good by over oiling it...attracting dirt buildup 'n such. |
