Don't let my wife see that. Once while cross country skiing she decided to "cross train" - using the ski pole like a fencing foil, and incorporating hockey's hip checks. She was pregnant at the time, and I still couldn't outrun her. Forget the Spandex - the only way I'd do biathlon with her is in Kevlar.

As soon as this storm passes... we should hold an event like this at CalGuns.net "Super Secret Shooting Spot" off Forest Hill Rd... I have the GPS numbers and directions if anyone wants them...

What a POS range... We got 10x more room at the pit to play...

I tried Biathlon when I was in high school up in the UP. I just couldn't get the skiing technique down well enough to get any speed. That and we used 177 break barrels. I did great on the shooting part, I just couldn't get the speed up on the course. It was really fun though.

If I was a skier... This would be a new twist on "BB Gun wars". I'd need a new Daisy Red Rider...

The funny thing is the biathlon video isn't far from the truth of how the sport started.

It's based on Norwegian military training that started in the 1800's. Basically, they worked out there wasn't much point if soldiers could get across snowy country in record time if they were so out of breath they couldn't shoot worth a crap when they got where they were going.

Yes, I'm a fount of useless knowledge.
