The rabbits have been having a bit of a easy ride lately..
Not been up the hills for a few weeks....
That all changed last night...

got the first 3 off the bipod from 35m..
there was 6/7 in a small tussck covered gully
managed to whack 3 before they knew there
mates were dieing....& legged it for cover..
The next 2 from walking along a old track..
got another on the way back after the pic
so 6 in all....3 made it to the frezzer...

They gases 1 "one" warrren then dug it up and pulled 120 rabbit from it..
then theres another one 50m away and so on.."in places"

i'm not so much for shootin' bunnies but i know NZ
is over run with 'em. i do believe in population control.
i ate one when i was a kid. i liked it when i thought it was chicken. Rolling Eyes
mom lied to me. Laughing

what pellet are you using and at what velocity?
do they go all the way through?

Normaly use 28g Eun jins or 21g H&Ns on full power
giveing 50+ fpe.....
but this time was useing 14.5g JSB Exact Express
on the 900fps setting as I could only get a 2400psi
fill from the argon bottle..

Next time..If I remeber" I will take a pic of what happens
to a big warren..when the rain colapes it then it be comes
a water channel that cuases the hill side to slip..

some are so close the the surface that the weight of a
cow can colasps it..then the cows stuck waiting to die..
seen a few old warrens with cow skeltons in them...

Every 6 rabbits reduce the sheep stocking rate by 1 sheep..
As a rabbit will starve a sheep as they eat the grass so low
that a sheep can't get it chopper on it..

So I just shoot them because I can at times...

THat's the way starlings do here in the US. I can kill 7 or 8 a day and barely make a dent. I'd rather have robins and cardinals, so killing starlings is the only way to do it. Starlings will also take over feeders to the point that no other bird can get to them. I'm just surprised the trash man hasn't noticed. lol I do dispose of them in walmart bags though so maybe he just thinks their diapers because that's the same way I get rid of poopy ones. Twisted Evil
