I have had this rifle for a few years now. It's been great. But recently I have taken up archery and totally forgot about my rifle(4 years of not shooting my rifle). I've had my rifle filled with Air since I took up archery. Just recently I took out my rifle to take a look at it and admire the rifle. It's a beautiful piece of work. One thing I noticed is that all the air is gone. It's it possible that the seals have gone bad from non use. Also is it possible to try and fill the rifle using an air compressor that is used for nail guns and staplers? This will be one way to know if the seals have gone bad if air leaks out.
Thanks for your help! |

Hey Bat, welcome aboard!
From what I read and heard, most to every PCP loses air when you leave them over a long time. It would be a good idea to check it with low pressure a bit, because after such a long time, anything could have happened to the seals.
About the compressor, never directly. I think, for safety measures you want a an air tank with it (if you don't have one already). The compressor needs to be at least able to pump a tank to the desired pressure. I guess you need something in the 2900 to 4500 psi? |
