This is my current rifle, Indonesian made Canon 737 multi-pump air gun .177 cal.
I want upgrade my arsenal to a more better quality gun.
1.) I want using repeater air rifle for shooting multiple rodent. I would prefer spring action air gun but CO2 is OK.
2.) Also i'm looking for compact size air gun ( size is less than 40"-42" )
3.) I'm also going to use an optic, red dot type.
4.) We don't allowed to have bigger caliber than the .177 cal here
I'm willing to spent +/- USD.200 for the gun and optic. What brand should i looking for that? Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

Could you be more specific on what you mean by "compact size" airgun? What is the maximum overall length you are trying to match?
Do you have any legal restrictions on guns with suppressors in Indonesia? |

I've been looking on Xisico web and i found XISICO XS-B9-1 was tempting. Spring repeater, no need worry about running out CO2 or PCP. But i also found it's a China Air Gun, how reliable this gun is?

Sorry, i should have to add detail on compact size limitation. My limitation for length is less than 40" - 42". Also there are caliber limit in here, we only allowed to have .177 cal |

It's the $200.00 barrier that might be an issue to get both a pumper and a repeater. The XS-B9 is not a particularly worthy gun- it is mid-low level Chinese product, whereas the B40's and such are more high-end Chinese product.

You could look at something like a Crosman 1760 with an added RIM magazine, which will fit you in under $200.00
But, the AM 850 is probably your best overall choice for a relatively inexpensive repeater- but it is a bit above your budget, and is a bit over your length requirement (41"):

| One can shorten an Airmagnum, and bulk fill it (or do the HPA mod), and it'll still be quite compact. |

Thanks I went to the site and it looks like they wont work on a 1760se since the bolt is different than on the 22xx crosmans. |

Bolt is different?
You need to have a steel breech kit installed on the 22xx's and 13xx's to make the RIM work- it needs a scope rail to be attached. Thus, the bolt would be the same as any of the others. I believe the 1760se has a steel breech, so I'm confused as to why the bolt would be different? |

Nope, but it does need a Crosman steel breech.... it fits the Disco, 13XX or 22XX as long as it has that.... Guns with a plastic breech will need to be upgraded....
Having said that, if you have extended the length of the probe on the bolt on a 13XX or 22XX you may have to chop it back or shorten the back of the bolt to get enough room for the magazine in the loading port.... If you have a Disco you WILL have to shorten the back of the bolt a bit (or buy their shoortened bolt)....
When you shorten the bolt, don't go too far or you won't be able to cock the gun....

Bolt is different?
You need to have a steel breech kit installed on the 22xx's and 3xx's to make the RIM work- it needs a scope rail to be attached. thus, the bolt would be the same as any of the others. I believe the 1760se has a steel breech, so I'm confused as to why the bolt would be different? |
This is a quote from the manual.....
| Quote: |
| The DISCO-Rim system can be installed on the Benjamin Discovery and Crosman rifles which use the 22XX long steel breech. The bolts on these rifles must be modified to allow extra room for the magazine or you may purchase our custom bolt . It is currently available in .22 cal and the part number is Disco-bolt-22. If you would like to modify your own bolt, the backside that contacts the cocking pin needs to be shortened by approximately 3mm. Removing too much will not allow the rifle to cock. Removing too little and the bolt probe will not clear the magazine. |
That and the fact that they have Custom bolt you can buy is trhe cause for my statement. |

| ? It still doesn't change anything- the 1760 uses the exact same setup- so it's bolt needs to be shortened- just like the 22xx/Disco bolts. |

That may well be but it is more modification than I am ready to consider at this time. Thanks for your replies. |

With all due respect.... I have a RIM magazine fitted to a Crosman steel breech.... with an unmodified bolt.... As I said in my earlier post:
IF you have a 22XX or 13XX bolt that has not had the bolt probe lengthened, the RIM will work fine.... you do NOT have to shorten the back of the bolt providing it is stock....
IF you have a Disco bolt, you WILL need to shorten the back of the bolt.... the reason for this is that the Disco bolt is 0.085" longer than the bolt supplied with a 13XX or 22XX Crosman steel breech....
IF you choose not to believe me.... that is YOUR decision.... just trying to help....
