PreCharged Pneumatic and High Pressure Air.

PCP means that there is a reservoir that you charge to X pressure (may not be "high") and then use that to shoot from. HPA simply refers to air at high pressure.

hpa is harnessed through a high pressure pump, scuba tank or monster sized air compressor.

Ok, so all HPAs are PCP, but the inverse is not always true?

As sniper said, some PCP guns can use CO2 in the same reservoir.

PCPs can also run on nitrogen. Each type of "fuel" has it's own characteristics. I'd guess that 95% of PCP owners run on HPA.

PCP or HPA..are one in the same..both use air under high pressure
a gun from the factroy is called a PCP...most people call a conversion
ie..22xx crossman's useing air instead of Co2 as HPA...
both have a tank to hold air under pressure and a valve to release
a measured amount...
