This thread keeps popping into my mind. The possable ramifications of the whole PBA add campaign and the slew of internet vid clips immitating it are profound.
Sooner or later, some sick prick will see these and try it out....at the top of the food chain. There are no end of mentally incompetant and emotionally disrupted people out there cruising the net at any and all hours. How long will it be before some one decides to act out their...whatever... in the most horrable extream?
That could be the death knell of our hobby, not to mention the unfortunate victim. Airguns have long been seen as harmless and haven't really caught the attention of the mal-intended because they seem to desire more power. They feel more powerful with more powerful weapons. Depicting the affordable Big Box store air rifle as a lethal instrument capable of felling a wild hog with a sigle shot brings them into a whole new light. Not a light I'd like to see airguns in.
I don't know if it would be better, but I wonder the effect if people saw clips of some moron pellet shooting something like a bear, or even a large agressive dog, then the animal kicks the shooters a$$. Maybe that would discourage the faint of mind from picking up air rifles. Leave them to those of us who understand and enjoy them. |

There are true idiots in this world.
The largest "critter" that I would EVER try to drop with a pellet gun is a squirrl. Even then, the trigger does not get pulled unless I can get a clean kill shot. I have let a number of pests get away because of an unclean shot. Head and shoulder area only on nothing larger than a squirrl. No exception. |

The way that pig calmly walked up to the other pig makes me doubt that these were anything but domestic farm animals, what a sportsman! |

dogon1013...politicians and legislators are a threat to our way of life...period...no matter the issue.
they (legislators) normally take a simple issue and complicate it.
have you ever tried to read legislation? or tried reading laws? as an example, try reading the boundaries of zones in game and fish laws...good grief...
that's just one example... |
