Was going to test fire some pellets and when i got to the Gamo match they fell tight in the barrel. No resistance whatsoever. The Beaman match pellets and hollow points fit nice and snug. Whats up with Gamo?

Depends on the gun they are used on. Also, typically 'match' pellets are more accurately sized than other types and often come available in different diameters- obviously you got units smaller than the barrel bore.

Gamo pellets are definately crap. I mostly use them in quick firing guns, because they're relatively cheap over here.

I'm no expert in pellet quality, but I opened up a can of Gamo pellets at the local Cabelas store and they looked pretty awful compared to the Crossman Premiers. I was curious if that store just got a bad batch...sounds like they're all pretty sub-par.

I haven't had any issues with them, but I also don't use the "match" pellets, only the pointed and domed.

Isnt .177 supposed to be .177..not .175? I mean all .177 guns should have the same diameter barrel?

I've had the same issue with Crosman pointed pellets.... about 1/4 of the just fall through the bore....
Never had that problem with any other kind, including Gamo....

I've shot alot of Gamo Match pellets. They vary in weight, and size. If you weigh them and seperate them before shooting you will get better results. You still will get "flyers" sometimes. If you want accuracy go with a good brand Match pellet,JSB,,H&N,Beeman, ect. I use the Gamos for plinking, becaues they are cheap. I've looked for years for a "cheap" accurate pellet, but haven't found one yet! Ron |

What size .177 or .22, might I ask?
Hope that Gamo pellet quality hasn't gone down overall.
I used Gamo Match wadcutters to check the sights on my 1377s the other day. A measured 195" (5 Meter), using a rest, and "compressing" the trigger springs to lighten the pressure.
First gun was the nice, tight 3-pellet group at the bottom of the silhouette. Aim point was right at the bottom.
Second 1377, well the aimpoint was the top of the silhouette "head" and you can see the shots out to the left, with needed adjustment. Ignore the "high shot" I gross-estimated the sight adjustment

I shot at least one tin (150 pcs.) of the .177 Gamo Rockets....has the little steel BB in the point..I believe they weigh 9.6 g......target shooting steel spinner targets. In The Storm, they were a tighter fit than the 7.9 Crosman pointed hunters, so I guess that from lot to lot any of them can be a little larger/smaller.
