Read all about it here, with an actual test:

http://www.straightshooters.com/beeman/r7doublegold.html

Click on the "Our Take" link to see what the gun the tested did in the real world.... Wink

I've never had one, but with Weirauch quality (it's their HW30S) I don't see how you could go wrong....

as bob's link said. 7fpe. the minimum for squirrel is 6 fpe. Neutral

rodents will drop with 2-3 fpe. Neutral

i think your search is ending scrap. Crying or Very sad

i read on my other forum a guy did bag a huge rat with a .20 r-7 with a 10 grain pellet at 600 fps at 23 yards.

then again. all i kill are rodents. Twisted Evil

whether 3 fpe or 30 fpe. dead is dead. Twisted Evil

Here is a link to an article about minimum FPE for various small game written by Robert Beeman himself:

http://www.beemans.net/field%20use.htm

I don't think anyone can dispute that these are acceptable MINIMUM energy requirements for a clean kill with good shot placement.... Cool

With a decent round-nose 7.9 gr pellet (BC = 0.20) starting out at 650 fps, you will have about 7.4 FPE at the muzzle and about 5 FPE remaining at 30 yards.... If you zero at about 26 yards, the trajectory will be within 1/4" above and below the line of sight (called the point blank range or zone) from 9 yards to 29 yards.... almost exactly matching the maximum range for 5 FPE energy retention.... Therefore, figure that as your maximum range for any game up to a rat or rabbit (but not a jackrabbit) according to Dr. Beeman.... Wink

Another way of looking at MINIMUM energy for a clean kill is 1 FPE per pound of body weight.... Again, this assumes a perfect shot.... Twisted Evil
