Well, got out this afternoon and ran another 40 rounds through the ne wgun..Got it sighted in at 25 yards. Boy !! That thing is amazingly quiet, you seriously can't hear the gun..all I heard was pellets hitting the back stop...and recoil ??? FUGGEDABOUTIT !! We ain't got no stinkin' recoil cause we don't need any. It is $300.00 well spent....haven't chrony'ed it yet or been real focused on tight grouings....just getting the fell of it and breaking it in..I will say this though, I had to bak the trigger adjustment out 3 turns...it was looooong and had about 20 lbs. of pull..now it's a whole like the GRT-III on my Stormxt.....anyhow there's my first impression, FWIW..I know one thing for sure ...the Crosman Storm XT that I just bought is FOR SALE, I'll not need that after shooting the NPSS> headed for the FOR SALE section now Cool Cool Cool ....-Rodger

No noise and no recoil- on an NPSS? Are you sure you have the right gun? It's quieter and less recoil that a Storm XT certainly- but it's not supposed to be -that- quiet- it has no suppressor on it. (?)

Well it's the NPSS made by Crosman.. is that the "right" one ?? Yes Eric it makes a noise. Putting a pellet in it makes a noise too, but I wouldn't consider it as such. Yes, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, therefore there is recoil. About the same as if someone took a handful of styrofoam packing peanuts and threw them at your shoulder..I guess I was just excited about having a somewhat refined airgun as compared to the not-so-refined StormXT.
