Ok.
Here is what I looking for.
Pistol needs to be around 10 FPE, (I will expain further on). Needs to be multi shot. I am ready to mod the heck out of something to get what I want.

So I have a springer that is roughly 13 fpe. It shoots through 1/2" plywood not problem. Single shot

I have a PCP gun that puts out around 22 FPE It shoots through 3/4" plywood no problem single shot.
Both rifles are a pain to shoot inside my chicken house.

With all that said... I am having problems with possums getting into the chicken house.

I want a gun that is compact (pistol) that wont go thru the 1/2" plywood and come out the other side with alot of force, but it still needs to be able to go thru a possum, and I want FAST follow up shots.

I am thinking a .22 multi shot CO2 pistol that can be modded.
Anybody have any experience with such a gun??

Dan

Use a .22 Crowmagnum from the pcp. Cool

Don't waste your time with a 10fpe pistol. Hold a pellet in your off hand for a quick reload and make the shots count. 3 crowmags to the eye, ear, or base of skull will do it best.

From my experience with an opossum, a 20fpe springer spitting a .22 RWS hollow point at point blank... the pellet will not exit. Crowmagnums will dump energy much more quickly and expand properly. No doubt in my mind there will be a problem if YOU make the shot count.

pricey but powerfull. light pellets have less pentration/fpe
stay under 14 grains and the pellets will flatten fast.

Thanks for the input.
I am still looking for a pistol I can mod to get what I want. I might have to buy a cheapy CO2 pistol and see if I can get some added power out of one.

You won't if you want repeater. Unless of course you want to design your own.

The Crosman 2240 is the best modding platform for single shots. With some effort a breach mechanism to feed pellets would be possible.

It does not take that long to load a bolt action with some practice.
