Yes!

It arrived this afternoon!

My new QB78 Deluxe, the Crosman 167 lookalike.

First impression: very good!

This also arrived today

First things first, load powerlets, a few shots to clean the internals, shot a few felt pads and finally got to shoot some pellets.

Loading, cocking, shooting, all went as I had hoped for. Accurate too. After abt 60 shots I could hear a drop in power, shot abt 15 times more and ran a few felt pads again and then it was empty.

After I bought and shot the CB9 earlier this year I was happy, this QB78 really puts a smile on my face.

Will take it apart tonight to tweak it according to all the tips I've got.

It's loud but not extremely loud, I'm not planning to buy a silencer but wear earplugs when shooting indoors.

Hey Brute,

They're nice lil' rifles indeed! Quite easy to work on too. Mine was very accurate with Barakuda Extra Heavies.

Nice buy Brutuz, if you get a good barrel then you have a very adaptable gun. Thumb Up!

Anton what happened to yours? Question

It's at my buddies place. He's supposed to buy it from me, but first he wants to fix me with a new bolt. It's kind of the gun that Anton forgot. Razz

What I like about these QB78's, is that they have a nice feel to it. Wink It's not that much a quality feel but something special. Mr. Green

Broom does that mean you've missed the moment where you have been featured in the video?

Someone else noticed it and asked about it in the comments section Mr. Green

Fitted a do it yourself dove tail rail on the QB and then attached my Airforce bipod, much better compared to the clamp on bipod I've got.

Visited a friend this afternoon. The one with the tuned high power Talon SS pistol. He's got an indoor 12 meter range.

After adjusting the scope shooting 5 bull paper targets I managed to keep them all within the black!

When I got home I took a few pics:

It would appear Brutuz that your QB is of reasonable quality judging by the way you close the bolt, it looks very smooth. On mine you needed a hammer to close it when new, even now with many hours of work on it including two different barrels it still shoots where if fancies. personally it is still a piece of crap until I get a decent barrel fitted. Laughing

I think you did the right thing by getting the Deluxe model, it certainly looks the part. Cool

Al

Sure took you the time to realise... Razz

Hey Al, the QB78 Deluxe barrels are said to be better then the normal ones. Over here they only sell the deluxe ones because the other ones were rubbish.

It does cock easy, to easy, will preload the spring using washers tomorrow, if it gets to loud I'll detune it again.

Did enlarge the probe hole today, very carefully, using a cone shaped dremel grinding stone, manual first to check, next used it in the dremel itself, lowest power mode, switching on/off briefly.

No chrony available but it feels like 600+ fps, maybe even the 650 factory spec.
