Although people here are a bit villagey and think i'm going fishing with my sliped superten, I would definateley recommend a Take Down style rifle if you are like me and have to walk through the public streets to get to your shoot.

I have the BTAS/FX Verminator, Gunpower Storm and soon to get the Air Arms S410
I also own the Brocock Enigma Delux which breaks in half
any of the bro's got any thoughts/experiences |

Fortunately, I've not yet had any reason to "walk through town" with a gun (of any sort). I can only imagine I would have police officers around me in about 30 seconds because someone would assume it's a firearm and have a mental breakdown.

Get the asset in the nest with skill and stealth!
when down, the s410 looks like a nice baggy ruck sack - terrorist style
street cred = 10
however
the BIG hard laptop case of the verminator looks more like a girly sewing machine box
street cred = 2

just out of interest
i know you guys over the pond have different rules like only being allowed 2ltr empty pop bottles for silencers
so here's my question
would TDR's break concealed carry laws in the states? |

That depends on what state your in. In virginia where I live, it should be ok as long as you dont have ammo "easily accessible " because then your just transporting it. If you go to new jersey and try to carry one of those around without a permit, your going to jail and losing your gun. And good luck actually getting a permit in New Jersey. If your lucky enough to get one, its gonna cost you a sh!t ton of money
Also, some states can have silencers now. The paperwork and ATF background check is a pain in the a$$ though. |

Yup. It's even been debated if someone could get charged for having a gun like a Talon with a built-in suppressor in the US if they don't have the BATF permit. I assume no one's been dragged off to court over it because it would be pretty dang difficult to remove it and put it on a 'firearm' proper. It's Canada where silencers are a deadly sin against all humanity (unless you're a police sniper or it's attached to military-issued and owned equipment).
There's some info on laws regarding silencers on the Muzzle Brake/Silencer page: http://www.airgunhome.com/pages/silencers.html |
