I was looking at some airgun sites on the Internet when I came across an air rifle called the Airforce Condor, I read that the Airforce condor is the most powerful PCP Air Rifle in the world, As it can achieve 1250 fps in .22cal at full power with medium to heavy weight pellets, That's 60 ft lbs, The power can also be adjusted instantly via a thumb wheel on the side, The rifle is also claimed to be accurate to within 2 inches at 100m thanks to the 24 inch Lother Walther chocked barrel that it uses, This take down PCP military style rifle is even more amazing because its priced at just over 500 dollars that's a very low price for quality you would expect on a specialist field target rifle costing other $1500 to $2000, the reason for why the price if so low for the quality is because the rifle is designed to be produced very easily by more simpler machines, for example the stock doesn't have to be made on a special machine as the stock is actually the 490cc air tank that doubles as the stock, looks really nice as well and does not make it uncomfortable to rest against your cheek as it is slimmer than the average air tank, Also the barrel is shrouded by an aluminium tube which also houses the hammer spring and valve mechanism and also the bolt action, the tube has two full length accessory rails with loads of space to put gadgets and gizmo's on to the rife.

I think that's all there is to mention on the Condor I think, But Airforce also make two other great rifles which are the Talon and the Talon SS. For more info on these rifles just visit the website @ www.airforceairguns.com.

Stevie Thumb Up!

The entire AirForce lineup is good. I know the Talon's also have an adjustable output- as I understand it, this allows for up to a 400 fps 'range' to shoot within- I would think to save on air and to be able to shoot below 1050fps and avoid a sonic crack (noise).

By the time these things arrive for someone in the U.K.- how much does a $500 US Dollar gun end up costing?

Aren't there several different kinds of guns like this?

I'd like to own one if I need a PCP one day, as it's relatively cheap and easy to mod. There also seems to be some tuning to be done. I just don't like the looks very much.

I've heard someone is making one out of a bike.

The Condor and the Talon both lack a bit in the "looks" department in my opinion- this is partially due to the modular construction idea I assume.

I have also heard there are a number of QC issues with those two guns as well- but nothing that can't be overcome by someone who has a vague idea of what they're doing. At the price points they sit- I guess one can't ask for perfection. That's not an excuse, and hopefully AirForce overcomes this in the future.
