I decided to keep my .22 Quest,I love the gun and it`s a dead on shooter.
Also due to unseen events I will not be able to afford a M-Rod or even Disco for probably some time.
So I decided to do some more upgrades to the camo Quest.
This one I think will really put the rifle over the top.
Here is a picture of my friends quest with the 1" full barrel shroud .
it looks awesome, can`t wait to get one on my quest, ordered it last week, hope to have it in the coming weeks.
Here is my friends Quest with the same full barrel shroud i`m getting .
Bad a$$ right? |

It would be far more bad a$$ if it had a camo paintjob to match the stock of your rifle...
Not to mention possibly invisible in the woods. |

I like the look. Shoot some groups before and after installation to see if it makes any difference.
Where did you get the shroud? |

You may not notice any noise reduction because the noise of the action is right next to your face. Try having someone else shoot it with and without the shroud while you stand a few yards away.
I'm really interested in this because I'm considering shrouding my Quest too. Since springers have a quiet muzzle noise and a loud action noise I'm wondering if it's worth doing. My Marauder has me all psyched up on the whole shrouded air rifle thing. I gotta do them all, but then again since they all have to be permanent I have to be rational.
The fact that when shooting, you put your cheek right against the stock makes real observation difficult. Sound is a vibration. The vibration of the springer transmits through the stock and through your cheek bone. Just like the way you 'hear' the spring in an AR 15 way more than the guy next to you hears it.
So; if you're shooting a shrouded springer verses an unshrouded one, Will the neighbors hear one better than they hear the other? That's a question difficult to answere by shooting by yourself. You need a shooter and an observer. |

I will try that,im going to have the wife shoot it with the shroud on then with it off.
Also you said they all have to be permanent ,not so.
The shroud comes off in seconds with a alen key.
I took a bunch of other photos you can see in my gallery at this link:
