It seems to be a very well made and solid gun. It shot fairly accurately too right out of the box which was surprising.
The thing I didn't like was that the trigger pull [TP] was pretty firm and not as smooth as I felt it should have bee, but I've since resolved those issues to where the TP is about an eight of what it was and in some cases can be set off easier than expected. In actuallity that's just the way it should to get some good clean shots. And the best part about all of this is that it just required more lubrication with White Lithum Grease or something similiar but don't use WD 40 as it will gum up after a while. Stay with Synthetic lubricants and I'm not even sure the WL is but it's what I had on hand.
With the slide pulled forward I sprayed some down toward the top of the trigger mechanism, I also sprayed some on the hammer mechanism with it pulled down in the cocked position as well as into the mechanism in front of the hammer. I also sprayed some under the slide mechanism with the charging grip removed and down into where the slide and another verticle bar rub aganst each other.
After doing this the trigger/hammer release feels totally different and just about he same as a real gun does and while there is still a bit of free trigger pull, just take up the slack and it just takes a slight squeeze more and off it goes, nice and smooth. The double action also works much smoother too.
Once I did this I had to make sure the safety was On and practice the trigger pull as it was so much different it's almost unbelievable, a world of a difference.
As far as the Fake Silencer I used plain Scotch Magic tape to cover the holes and did shoot it some this afternoon to get the Red Dot sighted in. It did seem to quiet it down considerable but I don't like the shinny look even after using Black Marker to cover the tape.
I'm going to try using some Masking Tape as I think that will absork even more noise, I was just thinking it's too bad some small pieces of foam couldn't protrude into the Silencer to soak up even more of the air blast.
I'll try to post a few pictrues but it's nothing you haven't seen before. |
