No I don`t eat um.
But I clean um and give then to my wife`s friend Alen.
He eats all the Doves and Quail we get.

He had a special request for the 2 I got today.
He wanted both the breast and the hearts lol.

I will eventually try a Quail, but the smell it gives off when you clean it kind if kills it for me (smells like fish for some reason)

Seems to be holding up fine.
I check the cross hairs every day with my lazerlight bore sighter.
The scope makes all the difference.

i should've asked... how many rounds through it scoped so far?

i've not had much luck scoping springers. Sad/Cry

i killed a $275 AIMPOINT (off an AR-15 Evil or Very Mad ) red-dot 2 years ago on my 12 fpe gamo 440 within 1000 shots which is why i ask...

Only put around 200 rounds,so still to early to tell.
But BSA has scopes just for air guns.

Dang...springers go hard. Last nite I had to buy a new 1 piece mount for my Storm XT. Luckily, I have airgun rated scopes that came with the rifles.

If you´ve got scope problems then I can recommend Nikon platinum Nighteaters like the one in this link
http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=NSP41644

Or perhaps the Hawke which come recommended also.
Perhaps like this one
http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=HA31244SR6

Note that the Nikon has got better lenses but the Hawke has the optional SCB reticle (Small Calibre Ballistics) which I personally loved once I got it figured out and had put a few hundred rounds through the gun with the scope on. It rocks. Mr. Green

Note that the hawke I linked to is with the specilised reticle which is designed by a FT champion. I dont know that personally, but if it is better than the SCB reticle then I´ll be in Shocked

Double check to be sure that quail and doves are in season and can be taken with an airgun:

That's why I like hunting starling and crow in my state. Only time you can't hunt them is during deer season and you don't have to have a license. No bag limit, no nothing. Cool huh?
