Who/which company is the best airgun vendor (price and availability) and that will ship items to buyers, in the UK? Any website for them?

Thanks for any help. Flapping

Hi Eric
If I have read it right you want goods shipping from the UK to Canada ?. If so a lot of UK airgun dealers cannot ship guns to the USA now, and as far as Canada is concerned there is a lack of reliable shippers who will carry guns.
Its Saturday night now everywere is closed but I will phone around on Monday and see what some of the dealers have to say.

Is it just guns or accessories or both you are after.

Hello Al:

No- you misunderstand- I don't need anything shipped out of the UK- I need to know of a good vendor in the UK that ships within the UK.

Why? I'm thinking maybe some sort of raffle around here for a gun might be an idea- thus if someone from the UK won- it'd be a heck of alot simpler to have one ordered and shipped from a UK dealer. Same thing for a winner in the US or a winner in Canada- using a "domestic" dealer to get gun from and ship it- without crossing any borders- thus I would never lay my hands on the actual product.

The only difficulty would be if someone from mainland Europe or elsewhere won such a raffle/draw- unless of course UK dealers are willing to ship to the Netherlands and the like?

This is just an idea- figured it might give people a chance to win something they could use, and possibly draw a few more people in around here. The only thing would be finding a gun that people like and is available for shipment without acquiring any permits in a number of different countries. Perhaps something like a Crosman 2240, or maybe a decent, but lower powered (non-permit) rifle?

I tried to join the UK based "AirGunForum" last night to get some info- but after filling in "North America" as my country and then seeing all the rules/posts about "fill in your location, accurately, or we may tell you to f-off" I'm waiting to see if they actually send the "confirmation" which apparently takes up to 24 hours. Not so sure it's really any of their business where people are physically located- but whatever.

Anyways- thanks for any help.

If my idea is just plain pointless- let me know that too!

Hi Eric
I'm with you now, a good site that ships almost enywhere is http://www.airgunbuyer.com/index.asp Blackpool air rifle Co they are very good.

The "AirGunForum" is quite good but they have this thing about location, I think it is because there are a lot of Continental members and if someone posts a question it helps to know where they are as the answer can depend on the Country they are in.
We had a post going about friendly fire concerning british troops in iraq who were killed by American national guard flying A10s, and as I live next to a major bombing range and A10 are on there most days, I thought I would put in my penny worth about A10s and the national guard, mine was the 37th post on the subject and they removed the whole lot, so much for free speech.

Thanks- I'll go and look those guys over. I assume they state if you need a permit to order a specific gun? (I'll find out...)

And, I did get my registration notification for the AGF- so we'll see if things work there now. That censoring/eliminating entire topics- I see that all over the place- far too often it seems. Strikes me as counterproductive, at least as long as the discussion remains reasonably civil. It's when people get way too heated and either insults or complete BS starts getting posted that maybe things are out-of-hand and the axe should fall. Shrug

Hi
I have used Blackpool Air Rifles (BAR) and found them to be very good - opposite to Targetsports of Bolton who are terrible Crying or Very sad carry no stock and are rude on the phone when orders are chased.

Got my Airwolf from Wighillpark guns - very polite and good service.
also i have delt with Airsportdirect who supplied a Cometa 300 with ease.

Uttings are also very good to experience.

Always good to know who are the more reasonable vendors. Alas- the raffle came and went a long time ago.

Also, welcome to AirGunHome, "Mr. Flinch"!
