So here I am working on the stock of my super streak. After I was done I put it back together and then notice a little ring that goes around the bolt holding the trigger guard and stock to the pump chamber. I say to myself this isn't needed. I also adjusted the trigger to be as light and short as possible.

So I go outside, cock it, load, aim, turn off safety, pull trigger and nothing. I think for a minute and say to myself I guess I did need that little ring. So I turn the safety back on and the gun fires WTF? thankfully I was still aiming down range. (not really sure where that pellet went though)

Take gun apart and put little ring thing back in. Repeat process, cock, load, aim, turn off safety, pull trigger, nothing. I'm a little confused but I now know better. While still aiming I turn on the safety and bam, gun fires. I do this 3 more times, and every time I turn on the safety the gun fires. Freaky right.

So I start to take the gun apart and I start to think what else have I changed on this gun....oh yeah the trigger pull. So I start to adjust the trigger pull and notice the screw is all the way out and barely hanging in there. I tighten the trigger adjustment screw back up and the gun is working fine again. I will probably replace the trigger with a GTR-III soon though.

Feel free to post something stupid you've done to your airgun, or am I alone in this department. Anyone else have something similar happen to them?

don't feel bad fire. lighten the trigger on a b-26 enough and you end up with a superdome in your kitchen wall just by closing the barrel. Rolling Eyes Shocked

iLL NEVER LIVE THIS ONE DOWN. I did all the right stuff to my beeman RS-2 trigger; polish and lube and did some pre adjustments. Well I was ready for a test. cocked and loaded and ready. I THOUGHT-raised the the gun to fire and Twack- I barely touched the trigger. It went through one side of our BRAND-NEW storage shead and out the other side, and burried the 22 super dome in the cinder block wall behind it. It cost me $ 75 plus shiping for the two panels to replace.Well it took me all day to dissasmemble and reass-- the thing in July in Arizona. 110 * . SOO- next time , I will be seated at my rest and be VERRY carfull.

Had to take apart my crosman 357. There was a co2 capsule in it and i was so sure that it's completely empty.....well it wasn't. No human casualties, but i spent almost half an hour to find all those bits and springs:)

That's why if you are going to tamper with the inner workings of your guns, you better make darn sure that you follow all safety rules when handling your gun.
