I have a Sheridan Blue Streak that I bought new in the 60s. It's sat in the closet for years. Last time I tried to shoot it I couldn't get it to pump up. Can someone direct me to the repair procedure and the parts I need to purchase? Thanks. I'm a brand new member as of today. This is my first post.

Someone out there needs to post a parts diagram. Due to it's age and the fact Crosman bought them up a number of years ago, a parts diagram is not ready and waiting on the Crosman website.

It's a pumper, which all work in very similar manners- you likely need to replace all the seals after 40 years. The question of course is- which seals are in it, and can adequate replacements be found?

I dunno- I'm not thinking someone coming online looking for instructions on how to repair his airgun is really looking for somewhere to send it out for repair.

I did one a few years ago. From what I remember, the valve body is soldered into the pump tube. The valve core is extracted from the rear with a special tool (see link below - the tool is the rod with the square end). I also recall that the seal between the valve core and valve body is a lead ring. You have to be sure that everything is right when you button it up, because subsequent disassembly destroys the ring.

Sorry; I can't find a diagram for the older style Blue Streak.

I got my repair kit for my 1965 soldered valve blue streak and installed it but now when I actuate the pump I can feel it pressure up then it immediately vents out the barrel with each stroke. The exploded view they sent with the kit stinks. Does anyone have a picture or better drawing or better yet an idea of what I missed or did wrong?

If your pump stroke immediately vents out the barrel, the valve is the issue- if you pump it more than once, does this stop? If so, the valve spring is weak. If not, something is either stuck in the valve, or the valvestem/hammer has something pushing on it.

when i disassembled it I failed to take note of which side of the valve the lead ring went on. The exploded view seems to show it installed in between the valve and the threaded nut that secures the valve. No pressure ever builds, with each pump it burps out the barrel. I can hold my finger over the muzzel as I work the plunger and it will pressure up in the barrel. Thanks for the help, I am going to take it apart and see if I missed something. I also just found a very small pin that I can't seem to find a place for. it's about the diameter of the pins that hold the trigger and breech in place but way shorter.

Also check to see if cocking it first will allow it to pump up. If it will pump up once cocked- the hammer is resting on the valvestem and holding it open.

when I had one as a kid I don't remember cocking it first before pumping. I read that tip several places. I am about to undo the valve assembly and look for a mistake. I am still concerned about the lead ring and it's placement.
