| I am going to make a wood pistol grip and pumping arm(With slot's for finger's when pumping) as well as a thumb hole stock for my pumpmaster 760, I wanted to know if anybody could walk me through or point me to a tutorial on how to remove the stock and pumping arm safely, I also wanted to know if their were any mod's I could use to increase performance? While the gun is broken down I also intend to clean it, any recommendations on a specific lube? |

A few years ago I was trying to use up junk parts, and came up with this:
It's mostly a 760, some 130, some Schwinn. When I got done it shot no better than my daughter's stock 760. Maybe the trigger was a little better, but that was it. Crosman sells some stuff that is well worth modifying, but the 760 is kind of on the "low" end. It all depends upon your purpose - if you want the coolest looking BB gun in the world, go for it. If you just like tinkering and want to see what you can accomplish, go for it. If you want your efforts to be rewarded with lots better performance, maybe not. |

I like to do all three, and Slav, is that air rifle you built for sale, Id love to purchase it, it looks interesting and would be a great conversation piece. |

No, sorry. I tend to hang on to my projects, even the freakishly hideous. |

Understandable, very creative though, I like it, can you tell me a bit more about it, or point me to a thread about it, I would like to know what you uncovered in this project. |

The barrel, pump tube and associated parts were from an older 760. The grip frame and aluminum breech were from what I believe to be a 130. I had to cut a slot in the 760 tube so the sear would engage the hammer. The 130 is in .22 (and the 760 barrel in .177) so it requires finesse to load. Like I said, using up junk parts.
The wood is from a trophy at the Salvation Army Store. Aluminum strap is from the hardware store. The bipod mount is a bicycle stem, and the bipod legs are seat stays from the same bicycle. The bayonet is a surplus SKS. I played around with it until the exhaust valve seal went south, and then I went on to other things.
What did I "uncover" (or learn) from the project? Probably to not waste effort on anything less than a rifled barrel. |
