Ok guys the 2240 is a work in progress. I have a 16" barrel on it and a steel breech so far. I would like to add a modified valve and I ordered a power adjuster for it yesterday. I have been looking around for someone who does the bulk fill. Took a look at Joe's website last nite but I couldnt find a price on the setup. Joe if you read this shoot me a message i would really like to get this thing put on bulkfill. Also If anyone knows where i can get a cheap carbine stock that fits this please let me know. I'd like to go from Pistol grip to carbine and back again. Oh the reason for this post DUH!!! lol Any one have any experience with the "Boss" valve?? or if you know of a better one and where i can get it let me know please. Pics coming as soon as i get the SD card reader (I have no idea where that woman put the thing) Thanks.

Crosman have a stock from the 2289 that fits right on.... You will need the retaining pin & spring from the 2289 as well.... unless you want to bolt it on by drilling for the two side screws like on the piston grips....

I find that it wears and starts to wobble around after a while when used on a pumper, but it might be fine on a 2240 because you don't stress it the same.... I end up bolting mine on my 2289....

The 2240 wastes a lot of CO2 in stock form.... modding the valve will just make it worse.... pretty well have to bulk fill once you go that route.... I went the other way, clipped the hammer spring and doubled the number of shots per cart.... The power adjuster is most useful to reduce the power slightly while increasing the shot count....

Bob

Thanks Bob i'm not really worried about wasting Co2 I'll be going to bulk fill soon as i get everything that I want on here I'm just trying to get the power increased without having to make the gun too bulky. I'd like to take this gun with me on my hikes in the woods for shots of opportunity, but want humane kills. If I only get 10-15 shots off a cart thats fine with me as the only time I will be shooting it is on hikes and to site it in (and if we ever get anymore mice in the house). So I still need to know if anyone has tried this valve and if so what kind of performance you get out of it (power wise).

I think 12 Fpe is more or less the most you can get from a Crosman, to be honest. Neutral Maybe more in a bigger caliber?

Edit: Unless you go HPA. They you can keep going for a bit longer. Mr. Green
