I'm looking for mainly perfomance/durability modifications. i've already got some idea's on what to do athsteticly.woodwork,etc... this one is new to me. let's hear it. I think I understand the 13XX series pretty well.... and the best I've done with a 2289 with a 14" barrel and a 2200 pump (50% more volume per stroke) is 685 fps in 15 pumps.... After that you can play with the spring in the valve (lightening it increases the number of pumps to retained air).... and the hammer spring (stiffer increases the number of pumps to retained air).... A Disco hammer spring works well.... but only if you need more velocity than you can get with a stock spring, as you do have to pump it more and the trigger pull gets harder.... One note.... if you go lighter on the valve spring and/or heavier on the hammer spring.... eventually the hammer will hold the valve open and you won't be able to pump it unless you pre-cock it.... Not a big issue, just so you know.... A longer barrel will add velocity and increase the distance between the sights giving more potential accuracy.... If it's .177 I wouldn't touch the ports at all.... you are more likely to lose than gain.... The other thing that makes the gun a lot nicer is to polish all the friction points on the trigger, sear, and hammer and install a lighter sear spring.... Oh, and you can lose the spacer, it's just for show.... and a steel breech makes the gun tighter and allows you to easily (and more accurately) mount a scope or red-dot.... Just so you are aware.... in Canada if you go over 500 fps, that 1377 will become a Restricted Firearm and you will need an R-PAL.... which basically means you can only transport it to and from a range....
