Maybe you should stick to paper until you learn about a little thing called shot placement. Also if you shot a bird point blank and he didnt die your gun is very underpowered. It's normal to feel that. There'd be something wrong with you if you didn't feel it. But part of growing up and being a man is numbing yourself to pain. When I was a boy my friend shot a bird in a sloppy manner like you described and it suffered before finally dying. I even cried that night becuse of it. But that was then. Now...now I am one of the most prolific airgun hunters on this site. In time, killing will become second nature to you, and the empathy you once felt will be like a distant memory. _________________ I done been assisted by the trees and rivers. I didn't get to see the posts before they got erased. But people on the site know I enjoy hunting birds. But I don't like to see them suffer. If wounded I promptly follow up with a mercey shot.
