That's what I was saying originally- the LG300 regulator is built into the valve. I do not know what material it is made from, however, and it does appear based on it's layout and that diagram to be a fair bit larger than the 1250 valve assembly.
I'm confused by the term "air cylinder" you used earlier now- I had thought you meant the reservoir in that respect- but obviously we're talking about different things. |

I'm sorry for the confusion! I was using the term "air cylinder" for "air reservoir." I think the other part of the confusion is about the valve. I believe there is a regulator AND a valve in the LG300 and Dominator 1250 AND they are two seperate functional parts. I did not do a good job of explaining that. I also believe the regulator is built into the 1250's air reservoir because the connecting part is brass.
I found some more information about the Walther Dominator. The paragraph in this review under the heading, Based on a 10-meter target rifle, indicates that there is a regulator which probably brings the pressure down to around 2000psi. That seems more reasonable for the strength of brass. It also encouraged me to look further.
I found that the LG300 manual lists information for 21 and 28.5 foot pound versions (probably misconverted numbers since elsewhere they seem to be 16 & 21 joules - about 12 & 15 foot pounds?). It lists a different "system pressure" for each (both less than 1500psi). This seems to indicate there are different air reservoir versions like you suggested. I would guess the "system pressure" is the output pressure of the regulator.
