in the light of day I see that my breech seal does have a small tear in it. No probs, I don't mind replacing it, you just push it on with your thumb. I tried to order some parts to have on hand, or even just the wee little rubber oring for the breech and this is th reply i got from GAMO USA when iasked about purchasing a replacment seal:

"""If you want any internal parts unfortunately, they will not be able to ship unless you are a license and insured dealer.

Thank you,

Customer Service

Gamo USA Corp

Phone: 954.581.5822

Fax: 954.581.3165"""

I told them:

I guess i'll just return it then. Airguns are a hobby for me, and if I can't buy a simple replacement part like a rubber breech seal, then I will buy another brand of airgun. Thats a bummer, I really wanted to buy a, Extreme CO2 rifle and a Hunter Extreme this year, but wow, if I can't get the simplest replacement parts theres no way!

VERY disapointed in GAMO! Evil or Very Mad

That wild boar in the Gamo video didn't die from a pellet - he died waiting for Gamo to support their products.

It's because Gamo doesn't sell directly to retail customers.

This place is across the pond, but the guy that contacted me was great. It would be worth paying a bit more to have somone cool to deal with.

By the way, the breech sell cracked and blew off after about 1000 pellets. Poor design i suppose, either that or they are hoping people will send them in for servie so they can charge.

I cleaned a small O-ring with acetone and celaned the valve pin and glued my mod-o-ring to the valve pin. Let it dry for and hour, put a light coat of silicine grease on it and then gave it a whril.

Did't have much time at lunch, but I was able to test 32 pellets through it and its holding. Smile

PROS- looks like the velocity is much more stable with a heavy duty oring that is capable of holding back the pressure. These O-rings are really cheap, like 10 for a $1. Smile

CONS, WTF why should I have to fix a brand new gun, and why the heck won't GAMO or anyone that sells parts in US or Canada send me one? I have no idea how long its goning to last, one day or 10 years.... Evil or Very Mad

Thanks Al, I am going to order some parts from him.

The new O-ring lasted about 8 more shots and went out through the barrel with the last pellet. Evil or Very Mad

I made another seal, this time out of a peice of neoprene fuel hose. Its a tight fit, so it should hold a bit longer.
