for the last couple weeks, i had seen the signs of some sort of critter inside the shop, i figured it was rats or mice. well yesterday i looked up while changing a tire, and up in the rafters.... this little tree rat.
i went to my office grabbed the Disco, loaded up a Daisy wadcutter. trying to get a clear shot took some doing, had to climb up on a work bench and contort my body until i had clean line of sight, about 35 yards. from one end of the shop to the other. but i managed the shot right in his vitals.
he was dead before he hit the floor from 16 feet up.

Nice kill. Damn shop/tree rat.
Hey, don't you hate it when the shot requires you to contort in some REALLY uncomfortable shooting position? I've had to flatten myself against the wall and shoot one handed just to get the angle right. But you do what you must to get the kill I guess. |

Nice 35 yarder. Way to go. I'll bet, with that shot, he was dead before he left the rafter. |

Is it really a problem that you have tree rats? It would seem to me like something to do on breaks.
Walk around with a pistol tucked into your pants. |

Well, if he and scroller were the only ones in the shop, no one except us, reading internetters actually learned something from this. |

yes it is, same idea with the pigeons, ..... have you ever seen what a squirrel will do to a $600 display helmet?? or a customers seat??? not to mention the droppings all over the place.
as for the roof.... the angle i shot at, it would have to have been a magical bullet like the one that shot JFK to even come close to the roof.
i do think i'll be taking something a tad less powerful to the shop from now on thou.... maybe a 22xx needs to be ordered |
