That is cool. I would like to try it - but only on a gas gun. I wouldn't trust my camera to a spring gun.

Yes, I am jealous…
I can not do this with any of my cameras… My Digital SLR digital has no on screen preview. You have to look through the view finder. Guys… you can sit back and use the screen to sight in and video your kill…

Since Guy is so shy when it comes to posting.... Faq-U

The answer is yes & no....

The plan is to use the video function on the camera to record kill shots.
Stills are for cool photos....

The camera lens must be darn close to the same size as your scope.

Use a rubber mount to help absorb shock and by God... don't use your camera on anything with some kick to it... (AKA... Springers, like Uncle Slavia said...)

Rubber caps work great.... Guy made this one all by his little lonesome.... We are so proud of him.... He's special.....ed... Razz

Efforts had to be made to reduce recoil on his talon so not to damage the camera. We had to make A "Very Special Shroud" down in the shop...

No photos attached.... Sorry.... I pleade the 5th.... Had no prior knowledge or recolection..... in addition.... "I did not have sex with that woman"... Wink

I've already did it. I used a laser for the POI. It worked till the cheap 149 dollar nightvision gave out. It was squeeze powered and I think the mechanism broke.

Only have one problem with my camera....the lens moves in and out. Not sure how to handle that. I'd really love to see someone that has a night vision monocular attached. I was reminded of this last night. I was doing a late night check of my yard/hunting ground.

What I hadn't realized until now... even though I'm in a highly populated urban area, my teeny tiny yard is DARK. Even with a pole mounted alley street lamp right behind the neighbor north of me. His 8' tall privacy fence combined with garages pretty much shade my yard from any source of light.

What I was checking for, while cutting the grass back there yesteday, I notice nearly a half dozen "holes" that were about 3" in diameter and perhaps an inch or two deep dug all over the yard. No cat or dog I know of would do this, nor would a squirrel. I know we've rabbits in the hood, but never realized they did this sort of damage that I was aware of.
