Greetings Everyone...

I did break down and bought a scope for my R1. Bought a BSA 4x32 with a adjustable objective. So far, so good! I did have to use loctite on a couple of small screws on the B Square "adjustable" mount. Guess it's not adjustable any more...lol.

The scope is rated for air rifles and is "shockproof".

In your experience do air rifle scopes last in the "long run"?

Best

A good scope like a BSA and good mounts like you bought should last a lifetime. I don't think you needed the "adjustable" mount, since Beemans don't droop. However- if you bought a gun that did and you put the scope/mounts on that for a test or whatever it could be useful.

I personally would have gone for a 3-9x or maybe 4-12, but I like to shoot a lot of targets. I have killed more critters on 4x (with my 4x32) and on 8x (with my 4-16x40), than any other magnification.

Thanks for the responses. I am learning a lot, I have a lot to learn about air gunning!

I do like that scope. Going to bring it to a real range this weekend.
